Pitstop since 1950

On the small farm Flatheim you can take a break and experience the nature up close: the mountains, the river, the forest, the light and the sounds. The farm is located on the national tourist route Gaularfjellet, in the middle of the western Norwegian mountain and fjord landscape.

Flatheim has been a pit stop for travellers since 1950, and an excellent starting point for excursions to the fjords. Here you can sleep in comfortable beds and wake up to the sounds of the river flowing and the rooster crowing. You can also hike along Fossestien and the protected Gaularvassdraget, or climb the mountain tops. It’s also nice to try your fishing luck or maybe paddle on one of the nearby waters.

If you are here for a day trip og just travelling through, you can take a coffe break at our place. We are delighted to serve groups a light meal, and can include storytelling if booked ahead of time. If you want to be active and play in nature, we also have activites here on the farm.

Welcome to our place!
