A local and traditional working farm

Eldalstunet is a family business. The farmers are Marit Eldal and Henning Skilbrei, and our kids: Anders, Daniel, Eirik og Hans. Marit is the 13th-generation farmer within the same family on this farm.

Together we run a working farm with Western Fjord Cattle and sheep that keep the landscape in good tilth.

At Eldalstunet we make different home crafts of wood, from our own forest, which we paint using the traditional technique called rosemaling. The traditional pattern that we create is from our valley as viksdalsmåling is a style on its own.

We sell these handmade crafts from our basement where we also have a small selection of other local home crafts and meat from Western Fjord Cattle. In addition to this we have a certified kitchen and a venue that can hold 60-70 guests. Here we serve traditional food made from local produce.

We hope you will enjoy your stay at our place!
